Responsibilities
- Work in the Engineering team enhancing Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio and providing technical support.
- Mechanical design and development of scientific cameras and high end opto-mechanical mechanisms.
- Engineering change management within a production environment.
- Bill of material management.
- Support for customer queries and production technical support.
Requirements
- Will have successfully completed the 2nd year of a BEng honours degree (IMechE accredited) in Mechanical Engineering or similar (see desirable criteria) by summer 2026
- Have competence in 3D CAD design: modelling & assembly in SOLIDWORKS (or Solid Edge, Inventor, Creo)
- Have competence in producing technical drawings
- Are available to start placement in September 2026
