Responsibilities
Work in the Engineering team enhancing Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio and providing technical support.
Mechanical design and development of scientific cameras and high end opto-mechanical mechanisms.
Engineering change management within a production environment.
Bill of material management.
Support for customer queries and production technical support.
Requirements
Will have successfully completed the 2nd year of a BEng honours degree (IMechE accredited) in Mechanical Engineering or similar (see desirable criteria) by summer 2026
Have competence in 3D CAD design: modelling & assembly in SOLIDWORKS (or Solid Edge, Inventor, Creo)
Have competence in producing technical drawings
Are available to start placement in September 2026
Are hungry to learn and innovate
Are excellent team players and communicators
Are eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges
