Responsibilities
Act as a PCB design engineer for complex circuit architecture/designs.
On larger designs, support PCB Design Engineer guiding the effort of the PCB Designers.
Realize PCB designs of high component density and high layer count while balancing the competing needs of the electrical design (e.g., high speed signal routing, EMI / EMC, Signal Integrity) with those of the manufacturing standards (DFM and DFT).
Capture PCB design requirements from the development engineering team, set up constraint manager design rules and DFM rules, and complete PCB design from Data entry to Output of fabrication files.
Participate in the estimation of PCB design efforts for the scope of work and effort.
Participate with fellow PCB designers in best practices for layout and simulation of high-speed signals as well as analog and power supply circuitry.
Elicit layout technique best practices from senior design engineers and incorporate those best practices into the PCB Design Group (i.e., gather, document, train others).
Team with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure the highest quality PCB design developments.
Requirements
BS Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field OR equivalent experience.
