About the role
- Controller managing cost controlling and financial performance improvement at Kemi Mine. Collaborating closely with management and driving operational excellence in the Ferrochrome sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage cost controlling for Kemi Mine, including monthly closing, reporting, forecasting, and deviation analysis
- Act as a strategic business partner to the Kemi Mine management team, identifying risks, gaps, and performance improvement opportunities
- Coordinate budgeting, cost center planning, and investment/maintenance budget follow-up
- Drive cost optimization and build cost awareness across production teams
- Support Group Financial Planning & Analysis, Wave reporting, and local/BA/Group projects
- Implement and develop controlling tools and processes (e.g., OneStream, Chorus, Power BI)
- Collaborate with procurement, group functions, and external stakeholders such as auditors
Requirements
- Academic degree in economics, industrial management & engineering, or equivalent education/experience
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate numbers into business insight
- Fluent Finnish and good English skills
- Solid skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, Think-cell, Wave, and reporting tools is an advantage
- Independent working style combined with strong collaboration skills
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders
- Adaptability in a changing industrial environment.
