About the role
- Teamlead for Accounting at ORTOVOX managing financial responsibilities and leading a six-member team. Oversee accounting processes and ensure compliance in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounting function of ORTOVOX Sportartikel GmbH and the sales subsidiary in Austria
- Lead a team of currently six employees
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including reporting to the corporate parent
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Operational responsibility for the general ledger
- Prepare and review VAT advance returns
- Central point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
- Analyze and further develop existing accounting processes
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, or vocational qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Several years of experience in accounting within a medium-sized company
- Leadership experience—either functional or disciplinary
- Ability to work in a structured and independent manner with a strong commitment to quality
- Confident user of MS Office; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
- Affinity with the outdoor industry
