About the role

  • Engineering Manager leading the engineering and maintenance function in a high volume manufacturing facility. Focusing on continuous improvement and asset management strategy in automated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the site engineering and maintenance team, building capability and a strong performance culture.
  • Drive a proactive maintenance and reliability strategy, shifting the site from reactive to preventative maintenance.
  • Improve asset management systems and processes, including CMMS utilisation, maintenance planning and engineering standards.
  • Partner closely with production to reduce downtime, improve line efficiency and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee engineering projects and site capital works, including equipment upgrades, reliability improvements and asset lifecycle planning.

Requirements

  • Strong technical engineering leader, ideally with both a trade background and engineering degree
  • Experience in high speed FMCG, packaging, or automated manufacturing environments, with a solid understanding of maintenance, reliability and plant performance.
  • Proven track record implementing asset management strategies and preventative maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • People focused leader with experience developing technical teams and strengthening collaboration between engineering and production.
  • Hands on and visible leadership style, comfortable spending time on the shop floor identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement.
