About the role

  • Talent Acquisition Lead developing hiring strategies for AI and engineering teams at Orbital. Responsible for building high-performing squads and scaling talent acquisition efforts during growth phase.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the talent acquisition strategy for Product & Engineering in London
  • Lead and develop a small talent acquisition team
  • Advise senior leaders on role design, workforce planning, and hiring decisions
  • Build and execute sourcing strategies for technical roles
  • Foster relationships within London’s AI and engineering communities
  • Partner with senior leadership on hiring strategy and decision-making
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Drive operational excellence using TA tech and metrics

Requirements

  • Hands-on technical recruiting experience
  • Experience hiring across Engineering, Product, and ideally AI/ML
  • Proven history of scaling high-performing squads
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong focus on candidate experience
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Understanding of Talent as a business lever
  • Familiarity with Ashby and modern TA tooling and automation (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with scaling a UK-based tech or AI organisation (nice-to-have)
