About the role
- Controller managing economic steering for a private equity firm with expertise in planning, forecasting, and management reporting. Collaborating directly with CFO and management to enable corporate growth.
Responsibilities
- The new Controller (m/f/d) will be a central partner for the company’s financial management and control
- Reports directly to the Head of Finance, who is based in Magdeburg
- You will consolidate your expertise in planning, forecasting and management reporting and create transparent decision-making foundations for management and the private equity investors
- You will have direct contact with the CFO
- In addition, you will work on strategic issues, develop business cases and support M&A transactions, thereby making a significant contribution to the company’s growth
- In this role you will independently design, coordinate and manage company-wide controlling processes and methods and ensure their consistent application and further development
- As a trusted contact for financial matters, you will advise the CFO and the investors and prepare well-founded recommendations for decisions and actions from a controlling perspective
- As part of investment decisions, product developments and ad-hoc requests, you will prepare robust financial evaluations, for example on economic scenarios, revenue developments and M&A acquisitions
- As a business partner to your assigned divisions, you will support the monthly business unit reviews, conduct structured financial discussions and actively assist in the management and further development of the areas
- In cross-functional projects you will contribute your controlling expertise, formulate business requirements and support the development of a future-oriented IT architecture
Requirements
- University degree in economics, business administration or a related field
- Several years of experience in financial controlling
- Experience in the software, business services or related sectors
- Fluent German and good command of English
- You independently analyze complex topics, structure results clearly and present them so stakeholders can easily follow and make informed decisions
- You are passionate about innovation, new perspectives and continuous development, and actively contribute to optimizing processes, control instruments and methods
