About the role

• Solution Architect responsible for designing integration solutions for telecom and fintech sectors. Leading a strategic migration project for enhanced mobile money and telecom platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end integration architecture for Talend-based middleware connecting USSD, App, and third-party channels to Huawei CPS platform
• Define integration patterns, data flows, and API specifications for 25+ use cases spanning customer, agent, and merchant transactions
• Architect solutions for real-time transaction processing, including P2P transfers, merchant payments, cash-in/cash-out, airtime purchases, and international remittances
• Design resilient, fault-tolerant integration patterns with appropriate error handling, retry logic, and transaction rollback capabilities
• Create comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders to translate business requirements into implementable technical solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams during implementation
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to design principles and best practices
• Define migration strategy from current flat SMS-based integrations to Talend middleware architecture
• Specify integration requirements for USSD gateways, mobile applications, SMSC systems, and partner platforms
• Ensure architecture meets security, performance, scalability, and regulatory requirements
• Establish monitoring, logging, and audit trail requirements for transaction traceability

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead in complex integration projects
• Deep expertise in Talend ecosystem (Talend ESB, Talend Data Services, Talend Integration) with proven track record of enterprise-scale implementations
• Solid hands-on experience with Huawei CPS platform or similar telecom convergent billing/payment systems
• Strong understanding of API design patterns, RESTful services, SOAP web services, and integration patterns
• Experience with real-time transaction processing, message queuing, and event-driven architectures
• Proven experience in FinTech domain with deep understanding of mobile money operations, payment processing, and financial transactions
• Strong background in Telecommunications including USSD protocols, SMSC integration, VAS platforms, and mobile network architecture
• Understanding of mobile money ecosystem including agent networks, merchant payments, cash-in/cash-out flows, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of multi-channel integration (USSD, mobile apps, SMS, third-party APIs) in telecom environments
• Technical Competencies: Proficiency in integration technologies: ESB, API Gateway, message brokers (JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Database design and optimization (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for high-transaction environments
• Understanding of security protocols, encryption, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS)
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Fluency in French is required; English proficiency is a strong plus.
