About the role
- Technical Project Leader managing conference technology projects for ROM Technologie across Germany. Responsibilities include project coordination, cost control, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementation of projects in the areas of conference technology, video conferencing and sound reinforcement of various sizes.
- Project coordination and alignment of all activities with end customers, suppliers, planning offices and other trades involved in the project.
- Scheduling and allocation of personnel and materials for the project.
- Reliable point of contact for our customers throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Project and personnel cost control.
- Monitoring and technical assessment of completed work.
- Project reporting and preparation of project documentation.
- Creation of drawings, block diagrams, rack layouts and cable-pull lists.
- Preparation of quotations and change orders in the ERP system.
- Ensuring compliance with all occupational safety and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an information electronics technician, IT systems electronics technician, electronics technician for devices and systems, or event technician with several years of professional experience in AV, IT or event technology
- Ideally, prior experience in project management
- Ability to work independently, team spirit and strong organizational skills
- Friendly and professional communication with our customers
- Basic IT skills (MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams)
- Willingness to travel — a valid driving licence (Class 3 / B) is mandatory
- Fluent German (spoken and written) and knowledge of English
- Strong communication skills and a structured working approach
