  • Legal Assistant supporting litigation at O’Hagan Meyer LLC in Portland. Handling drafting, proofreading, and scheduling for legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting correspondence
  • Proofreading, formatting, and filing pleadings with State and Federal courts
  • Scheduling depositions
  • File maintenance
  • Travel arrangements
  • Research
  • Expense reports
  • Maintaining attorney calendars

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of Oregon and Washington State and Federal court rules and procedures
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Formatting of briefs and generating Table of Contents and Table of Authorities in native Word
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with iManage and CourtAlert is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as with the team
  • Exceptional organizational skills
