Responsibilities
Develop, implement and test financial model components and systems using Python, C++, SQL, following Agile methodology.
Use advanced mathematical, analytical, financial and econometric and business domain knowledge to refine modeling applications for pricing, valuation, and risk management.
Test applications for accuracy and functionality before putting them into production use. Design and execute test cases for modeling and analytical software applications to ensure they meet business needs, and model and technology governance requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor (must-have), Master (preferred), or Ph.D. (a plus) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related fields.
Minimum of 3 years related experience.
Proficiency in popular programming languages including Python, C++, SQL, R, Linux Shell Scripts. Seasoned software developer in Linux environments on AWS platform.
Strong engineering, statistical and analytical skills.
Strong experience as specified in quantitative and software engineering, modeling and analytics development for projects similar in scope and responsibility.
Financial service industry experience is a plus.
This hybrid position (DMV preferred) requires the ability to go into the office 2-3 days per week and work effectively from a home office — even in an environment with moderate background noise.
