- Serve as a consultant on our team and develop and maintain financial modeling applications for our client.
- Work closely with the client's finance team to understand their needs and translate them into functional software.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Collaborate with internal client teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Develop and maintain in-house R packages and shiny applications.
- Implement best practices in development workflow and version control.
Requirements
- Bachelor (must-have), Master (preferred), or Ph.D. (a plus) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Technical skill requirements: Modeling Algorithms, Predictive Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Visualizations, ETL R, Shiny Apps, R Studio & Connect, SQL, Python, Bash, Github.
- AWS experience is a plus.
- Financial service industry experience is a plus.
- This hybrid position (DMV preferred) requires the ability to go into the office 2-3 days per week and work effectively from a home office — even in an environment with moderate background noise.
