About the role

  • Collaborate with the digital and creative teams to deliver human-centered designs for existing and new digital products, most importantly our consumer website, nyctourism.com.
  • Analyze and interpret data and user research to inform design decisions as well as complement insights with additional research (i.e. Competitive Analysis).
  • Generate wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and behavioral specifications.
  • Conduct remote usability testing to validate design decisions before launch and on an ongoing basis post-launch.
  • Collaborate with digital and creative teams to generate and collect UX copy, brand assets, and photography.
  • Organize information and interactions based on targeted and personalized content.
  • Organize content and improve information architecture based on business needs, editorial needs, and user needs.
  • Iterate based on stakeholder feedback and deliver design requests to meet key timelines and milestones.
  • Constantly review analytics and KPIs and conduct usability testing to offer suggestions for improvement and refine the user experience.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience designing and testing UI/UX for responsive web/mobile/digital experiences.
  • An established portfolio of UI/UX case studies for web/mobile/digital experiences.
  • Experience and proficiency in Sketch and InVision.
  • Experience in other Product Design tools like Sketch and Adobe XD is accepted, but Figma is strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting remote usability testing (i.e. UserTesting).
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative design sessions (i.e. ideation brainstorms, design studios).
  • Passion for problem-solving, understanding user needs, and understanding business needs and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and is team oriented.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
