Responsibilities
Perform daily reconciliation of financial transactions between systems, banks and payment platforms.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring that transactions are correctly matched.
Document and report discrepancies found, providing detailed root cause analysis.
Analyze financial data to identify patterns, trends and areas for improvement in reconciliation processes.
Prepare periodic reports on the status of reconciliations, including accuracy metrics and resolution times.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize reconciliation processes.
Investigate and resolve complex issues related to unreconciled transactions, working collaboratively with finance, technology and operations teams.
Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve transaction related issues and improve user experience.
Document reconciliation processes and procedures to ensure consistency and transparency.
Ensure reconciliation processes are compliant with applicable financial and regulatory standards (PCI-DSS, AML, SOX, etc.).
Collaborate with compliance and audit teams to ensure that reconciliation operations are aligned with local and international regulations.
Identify opportunities to optimize and automate reconciliation processes, reducing manual errors and improving efficiency.
Participate in projects to implement new reconciliation tools or systems.
Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) and propose corrective actions when necessary.
Work closely with finance, technology and operations teams to ensure integrity of financial data.
Support the integration of new systems or payment platforms, ensuring reconciliation processes are aligned.
Participate in cross-departmental meetings to align processes and resolve reconciliation related issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Certifications in data analysis tools or reconciliation systems are a plus.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in financial reconciliation roles, preferably in payment processing companies, fintech or financial sectors.
Experience managing reconciliation systems and payment platforms.
Basic knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
Proficiency in reconciliation and ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
Advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Familiarity with payment platforms and automated reconciliation systems.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
Ability to solve problems proactively and under pressure.
