Responsibilities
Create and execute a 3-5-year strategic plan for your area, aligning functional objectives with affiliate, regional, and global direction.
Together with your team develop and lead medical strategies for brands and pre-launch phases, ensuring proactive medical guidance to all functions.
Develop strong network with key external stakeholders, including KOLs, Health Care professionals, Industry and patient associations, academic bodies, health authorities, NHS health boards and ABPI, aimed at fostering mutually beneficial partnerships and shaping market environment.
Provide timely and relevant regulatory input enabling efficient product launches and marketing campaigns.
Drive scientific communication strategies, including input to clinical trials, RWE plans, and publication strategies.
Ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice, Health Authority requirements (MHRA) and the European Pharmacovigilance Framework.
Lead, coach, and develop your direct reports and the whole team.
Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that allows people to give their best.
Develop talents, ensuring succession planning, and participate in cross-functional development activities.
Represent UK in internal Medical & Science regional and global leadership forums.
Requirements
Qualified Medical Doctor with an ABPI certification.
Proven successful track record in a multinational pharmaceutical company, with the UK NHS pharmaceutical customer base.
Experience with private healthcare markets is an advantage.
Deep scientific understanding of biotechnology and medicine development at a strategic level.
Understanding of UK and European medical and regulatory requirements, as well as health economics.
Proven experience leading cross-functional medical & regulatory teams to deliver successful business outcomes.
