About the role
- Systems Test Engineer maintaining multi-user computer systems at Northrop Grumman. Supporting integration activities and overseeing test activities for the Sentinel program.
Responsibilities
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
- Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
- Integration of IP based devices into networks architecture.
- Will also support configuration, troubleshooting of devices / network
- Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities
- Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues
- Coordinate integrated testing activities.
- Oversee test activities in support or requirement verification and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of Engineering experience, Masters with 0 years of experience; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 1 year of hands on engineering or administration experience for Cisco/Juniper networks, RHEL and Windows OS
- 1 year of experience with Windows AD, VMWare, or SAN storage systems
- 1 year of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
- 1 year of experience working with lab environments/processes (Foreign Object Elimination, Electro-Static Discharge, Configuration Management)
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Current DoD 8570” IAT Level II Certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE)
- Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs
