About the role

Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the administration, monitoring and further development of clients' firewall systems.
- Implement secure network infrastructures.
- Review, optimize and harden IT environments with a focus on IT security.
- Design and operate secure and highly available network architectures for small and medium-sized enterprises and municipal institutions.
- Provide comprehensive consulting to clients on IT security topics and develop security strategies.
- Support incidents and security events and provide 2nd-/3rd-level support, both remotely and on site.
Requirements
- Completed IT training, e.g. as an IT specialist for system integration or an equivalent qualification.
- Practical experience in building and operating modern networks, including routing, switching, VLANs and network segmentation.
- Experience with firewall and network technologies (e.g. Fortinet, Sophos, HPE Aruba or Ubiquiti).
- Experience in user and system support.
- Solid knowledge in the deployment of IT security solutions (e.g. Next‑Gen endpoint protection, firewalls and monitoring tools).
- Very good knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN/IPsec etc.).
