About the role

  • Junior Test Engineer validating next-generation Residential Gateway and Beacon devices for ensuring performance and quality. Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality connected home solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Validate next-generation Residential Gateway and Beacon devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, stability, interoperability, and customer-ready quality.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and resolve technical issues, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support smooth integration and reliable functionality across diverse network environments.
  • Contribute to delivering high-quality connected home solutions.

Requirements

  • Over 2 years of hands-on expertise in the field or a related area
  • Good working knowledge of software testing (functional, regression, and/or non-functional testing) and experience in test design, test bed preparation/setup, test execution, and reporting.
  • Solid Networking knowledge and understanding of networking protocols, including Ethernet, L2/L3, TCP/UDP/TLS
  • Automation experience with Robot/Python, along with strong debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Delivery), Release automation (e.g., Jenkins), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience.
  • Ability to generate detailed reports, logs, and metrics for protocol compliance, performance, and failure analysis.
  • Lab support skills, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting test environments for broadband devices
  • Nice to have:
  • Proven experience with testing tools (ex. Spirent, Ixia, iPerf)
  • Specific knowledge of PON (Passive Optical Network) or DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technologies will be a significant plus**Understanding of WAN/LAN architecture, routing and switching concepts, subnetting, TCP/IP stack behavior, MTU/MSS handling, and packet flow validation.**Proficiency with Linux OS and its deployment in virtual environments. Docker experience is an asset for host simulation**Experience with remote management protocols such as TR-069, TR-369 (USP), OMCI, and solid understanding of GPON standards (ITU-T G.984/G.988), specifically in Residential Gateway and ONT products, Wi-Fi and Mesh**
