About the role

• Senior Test Engineer leading complex testing operations for Navy Federal's technology projects. Ensuring compliance with requirements through integration and functional testing within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs and leads large test teams in documenting and executing integration, regression, and functional testing of complex and moderately integrated systems to ensure compliance with system requirements or use cases by following Navy Federal test practices and policies and utilizing approved testing tools.
• Writes technically complex level test plans.
• Conducts the analysis of functional and technical requirements and the creation and editing of test cases for new or modified systems.
• Detects and documents defects/bugs identified during testing and recommends prioritization for solutioning of defects.
• Provides coaching to peers on simple test practices.
• Runs and trouble shoots test automation scripts for systems under test.
• Works independently with discretion.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in technology testing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
• Complete knowledge and understanding of business area/specialization Advanced technical skills working with various software programs
• Advanced knowledge of testing tools, dependent on the project/product
• Advanced knowledge of various database types
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of testing processes, including creating a test plan and opening bugs
• Ability to handle fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
• Significant experience working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
• Significant experience following Systems Development Life Cycles
• Advanced skill communicating with all levels within an organization
• Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely
• Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions and recommendations
