About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing backend solutions for HomeToGo's marketplace with extensive ownership and technical initiative. Collaborate within cross-functional teams and drive product quality enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of technical initiatives to improve the quality of our product
- Partner with Product to impact the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions align with user needs
- Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team as well as other engineering teams to understand business requirements and ensure the timely delivery of features
- Work closely with architects to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and usability of our Marketplace products
- Take ownership of engineering decisions for larger topics and features
- Be a part of a push to improve the product delivery process
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development (ideally with PHP/Symfony)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Fluency in both Lithuanian and English
