About the role

  • Supply Chain Manager overseeing material strategies and supply chain objectives for CACI. Responsible for development and execution of supply chain activities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • The Supply Chain - Material Program Manager role is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies and supply chain objectives.
  • Provide Subject Material Expertise (SME) and oversight of warehouse and inventory management, transportation, packaging, and handling.
  • Participate in Program Leadership strategy and meetings.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop the front end of the program’s Supply Chain activities, including forecasting & planning, supplier risk management & optimization, to providing subject SME around quality & return material authorization (RMA).
  • Daily coordination with internal and external suppliers on material and order status.
  • This role will serve as the leader for the program’s supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization.
  • The SC-MPM will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common inventory management schedules and strategies based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Develop procurement strategies in support of program’s requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years related work experience.
  • Experience with purchase order placement to ensure timely deliveries of products and services that support operational needs.
  • Experience with inventory management procedures and databases.
  • Experience directing supply chain management in accordance with CACI policies and procedures.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, including reports to trace products needed for production demand.
  • Collaboration with corporate buyers and engineers for component availability and deviation acceptability.
  • Experience maintaining master data integrity for responsible materials in a government approved material management and accounting system.
  • Extensive experience with industry best practices and procedures for supply chain management.
  • Experience identifying excess, and obsolete inventory, and recommend disposition.
  • Experience conducting supplier visits and evaluations.
  • Experience with inventory and invoice reconciliation for the purpose of identifying discrepancies.
  • Experience with analyzing vendor ratings based on Quality, Service, Cost and Delivery.
  • Experience maintaining professional relationships with vendors while continually working to obtain favorable pricing and discount structures.
  • Experience with resolving defective or unacceptable goods with engineers and suppliers, including root cause identification and execution of corrective action.
  • Experience with supply chain inquiries and providing excellent customer service to clients.
  • Experience with creating and managing, in coordination with engineers, bills of materials for custom IT systems to support timely integration in finished products.
  • Experience engaging collaboratively with cross-functional teams to strategize and implement supply chain management initiatives, fostering a cohesive work environment.
  • Experience developing and optimizing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • US Citizen with an active Top Secret or higher clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
