About the role

  • Senior Software Sales Executive at Genesis driving enterprise-level sales of financial technology solutions. Engaging with banks and investment firms, challenging the status quo in financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new software sales opportunities within Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, investment banks, hedge funds, and capital markets clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with C-level executives, heads of trading, operations, compliance, and technology departments.
  • Articulate the value proposition of complex fintech software solutions, including trading platforms, risk management, regulatory compliance, data analytics, and workflow automation tools.
  • Own and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation through to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting the financial services industry.
  • Work closely with pre-sales, product, marketing, and implementation teams to deliver tailored solutions that address specific client challenges.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of enterprise software sales experience in fintech or selling to financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of banking, capital markets, and trading environments. Familiarity with products such as OMS/EMS, market data platforms, risk and compliance tools, or digital transformation solutions is highly desirable.
  • Established network of contacts within North American banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, or hedge funds.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed multimillion-dollar quotas and close complex, consultative deals.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience selling SaaS, cloud-native platforms, or enterprise software solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory drivers (e.g., SEC, FINRA, MiFID II, Basel III).
  • Technical fluency with APIs, data integration, or financial infrastructure is a plus.
