About the role

  • Join NEO2 as an energy modeling consultant, engaging in innovative industrial projects. Drive environmental sustainability through strategic energy system modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct long-term energy foresight studies (10–30 years)
  • Multi-energy modeling: methane, hydrogen, electricity.
  • Simulate supply/demand balances using ANTARES.
  • Optimization of investments and development scenarios for the energy system.
  • Perform associated techno-economic analyses.
  • Develop and maintain study tools.
  • Process and integrate climate data.
  • Build long-term consumption and generation profiles.
  • Develop internal applications and tools for energy foresight.
  • Continuous improvement of models and ANTARES configurations.
  • Monitor technical, regulatory and technological developments in energy systems.
  • Produce and disseminate deliverables: reports, analytical notes, presentations.
  • Contribute to internal and external communication of study results.

Requirements

  • General engineering degree with a strong background in physics and mathematics.
  • Specialization preferred in: energy systems modeling, statistics, or applied mathematics.
  • Proficiency in programming and algorithmic development: R, Python.
  • Knowledge of energy system models or optimization models.
  • Prior experience in energy foresight is a plus.
  • Familiarity with an electric system modeling tool is appreciated: ANTARES or equivalents (PyPSA, PLEXOS, etc.).
