About the role
- SAP PP/QM Consultant at NEC Corporation responsible for implementation and support projects. Focus on production planning and quality management, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support SAP PP/QM module implementation, rollout, and support projects.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand manufacturing and quality processes and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Configure SAP PP and QM modules to meet business requirements including Master Data, BOMs, Routings, Work Centres, Production Orders, Inspection Plans, and Quality Notifications.
- Knowledge of MRP, MTS and MTO
- Integrate PP/QM with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PM.
- Handle change requests, system enhancements, and incident management in SAP PP/QM areas.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide user training, documentation, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with technical teams for custom developments (ABAP, interfaces, reports).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing and quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP PP/QM Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, shop floor control, process orders, and quality management processes.
- Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation projects and support environments.
- Good understanding of integration points with MM, CO.
- Ability to analyse business requirements and deliver appropriate SAP solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- SAP certification in PP or QM is an added advantage.
