About the role
- Business Intelligence Architect/Developer designing and maintaining analytics solutions. Enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple systems in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and data analytics solutions
- Gather, define, and document data requirements, including data flows and architecture diagrams
- Perform data modeling and support the design of data warehouses and data lake architectures
- Develop and manage ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading
- Support query development and reporting for enterprise data systems
- Integrate and manage data across multiple platforms and systems
- Analyze and optimize data structures, including denormalization and performance tuning
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data delivery
- Support advanced analytics initiatives, including Machine Learning and AI use cases
- Ensure compliance with Fairfax County standards and data governance practices
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data integration
- Experience working with multiple data systems and enabling data sharing across platforms
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in government or regulated environments is a plus
