Responsibilities
Advise product, technology, and business teams on privacy, AI, and cybersecurity compliance
Support Nasdaq Verafin's strategic growth in the United Kingdom and European Union
Identify and interpret new compliance requirements from global laws and regulations
Serve as an escalation point for privacy and AI-related contract negotiations
Support public policy initiatives and draft responses to regulatory proposals
Participate in incident response and deliver privacy-related training across the organization
Requirements
Juris Doctor (or equivalent) degree
Member in good standing with the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or Ontario or eligible for membership
5–8 years of experience in privacy, AI, or emerging technology law
Strong ability to collaborate across business, technology, and risk teams
Clear communicator with experience in fast-paced, matrixed environments
Knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR, PIPEDA and US privacy laws.
