Responsibilities
- Advise product, technology, and business teams on privacy, AI, and cybersecurity compliance
- Support Nasdaq Verafin's strategic growth in the United Kingdom and European Union
- Identify and interpret new compliance requirements from global laws and regulations
- Serve as an escalation point for privacy and AI-related contract negotiations
- Support public policy initiatives and draft responses to regulatory proposals
- Participate in incident response and deliver privacy-related training across the organization
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (or equivalent) degree
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or Ontario or eligible for membership
- 5–8 years of experience in privacy, AI, or emerging technology law
- Strong ability to collaborate across business, technology, and risk teams
- Clear communicator with experience in fast-paced, matrixed environments
- Knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR, PIPEDA and US privacy laws.
