About the role
- Engineering Manager leading strategic development for a HIPAA-regulated cardiac device monitoring platform. Overseeing engineering team and delivering multiple features weekly.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery speed and reliability for Rhythm Synergy, a HIPAA-regulated platform supporting >100,000 cardiac patients.
- Lead a six-engineer pod, with room for expansion, and set the engineering bar while shipping multiple times per week.
- Partner with Product and Design on scope and sequencing.
- Review PRs across React frontend and Nest.js backend, both written in TypeScript.
- Write code when it unblocks your team.
- Set backend architecture guardrails, reliability practices, and testing strategy.
- Hire, onboard, coach, and performance manage.
- Introduce AI-assisted development and measure uplift.
Requirements
- 7–12 years total experience
- 1–2 years leading engineers or Staff+ experience owning production systems
- Strong system-design and architecture skills
- Proven track record hitting SLOs and improving DORA metrics
- Deep understanding of Typescript best practices
- Built or integrated AI-assisted dev workflows
- Clear communication in hybrid, US-India teams.
