About the role

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for platform and backend engineering
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency backend systems
- Define and enforce engineering best practices across the team
- Proactively identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks
- Mentor and develop engineers with technical guidance
- Collaborate with frontend engineers for cohesive platform features
- Be a dependable presence on-call and in production
- Drive cross-team alignment on platform capabilities
Requirements
- Expert-level C# development skills
- Demonstrated experience leading technical architecture for backend or platform systems
- Hands-on experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems
- Strong proficiency with systems-level debugging, profiling, and performance tuning
- Experience with RESTful API design, WebSockets, and asynchronous/event-driven architectures
- Strong understanding of databases including schema design and query optimization
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps tooling
- Frontend fluency with React-based frontend work
