About the role

  • Engineering Geologist managing ground investigation projects for Murphy Geospatial. Involves planning, supervising, and delivering high-quality ground investigation services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and supervise ground investigation projects.
  • Undertake soil and rock logging to BS5930 standards.
  • Oversee drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing operations.
  • Interpret geotechnical and geoenvironmental data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to graduate engineers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in ground investigation or geoenvironmental engineering.
  • Looking toward professional chartership or are already chartered.
  • Strong understanding of UK ground investigation standards and practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., Bentley Openground) is desirable.
  • Full rights to work in UK.
