About the role

  • Cloud Data Platform & Integration Architect at MUFG designing scalable, cloud-agnostic data platforms and integration patterns. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-performing data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Architect cloud-native data platforms (lakehouse, warehouse, streaming, ingestion services)
  • Develop enterprise integration patterns (ETL/ELT, CDC, APIs, event streaming, virtualization)
  • Create reusable reference architectures, onboarding templates, and platform design guidelines
  • Partner with cloud engineering to define capability roadmaps and platform guardrails
  • Enable domain teams with best practices on ingestion, modeling, and data product onboarding
  • Ensure platform designs meet enterprise governance, metadata, lineage, and security standards
  • Support modernization and migration accelerators
  • Conduct architecture reviews and support delivery teams through design cycles
  • Evaluate emerging platform technologies and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years in data architecture, platform engineering, cloud engineering or integration architecture
  • Hands-on expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP data services (multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic architecture)
  • Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC, API integration, and event streaming systems
  • Deep understanding of batch, streaming, and real-time data integration patterns
  • Working knowledge of data modeling, metadata patterns, and lineage standards
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into data architecture designs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience with lakehouse frameworks (Databricks, Snowflake) is good to have
  • Container orchestration or serverless design experience is good to have
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD patterns is good to have
  • Exposure to data mesh or federated data architecture models is good to have
  • Background working with regulated business domains or compliance frameworks is good to have
