About the role
- Cloud Data Platform & Integration Architect at MUFG designing scalable, cloud-agnostic data platforms and integration patterns. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-performing data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect cloud-native data platforms (lakehouse, warehouse, streaming, ingestion services)
- Develop enterprise integration patterns (ETL/ELT, CDC, APIs, event streaming, virtualization)
- Create reusable reference architectures, onboarding templates, and platform design guidelines
- Partner with cloud engineering to define capability roadmaps and platform guardrails
- Enable domain teams with best practices on ingestion, modeling, and data product onboarding
- Ensure platform designs meet enterprise governance, metadata, lineage, and security standards
- Support modernization and migration accelerators
- Conduct architecture reviews and support delivery teams through design cycles
- Evaluate emerging platform technologies and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability
Requirements
- 8–12+ years in data architecture, platform engineering, cloud engineering or integration architecture
- Hands-on expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP data services (multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic architecture)
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC, API integration, and event streaming systems
- Deep understanding of batch, streaming, and real-time data integration patterns
- Working knowledge of data modeling, metadata patterns, and lineage standards
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into data architecture designs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with lakehouse frameworks (Databricks, Snowflake) is good to have
- Container orchestration or serverless design experience is good to have
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD patterns is good to have
- Exposure to data mesh or federated data architecture models is good to have
- Background working with regulated business domains or compliance frameworks is good to have
