About the role
- Senior Consultant in banking risk management, advising on regulatory implementations. Focused on strategic control and data-driven analyses for major financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- You take on a central role in our client projects and contribute your technical, methodological and regulatory expertise.
- Consulting & design: Developing and further developing strategies, methods and processes in bank-wide steering, risk controlling and risk management.
- Responsibility in client projects: Active (co-)design of projects and processes – depending on the focus area this may include business analysis, subject-matter specialization, implementation coordination, test management or (partial) project leadership.
- Advising on and implementing regulatory requirements such as CRD, CRR, MaRisk, IRRBB, ESG – from analysis and conception to implementation.
- Analyzing, evaluating and preparing banking-related data to provide sound decision support.
- Using Excel/VBA, Access, SQL, Python or R to develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Providing technical support to junior consultants and actively transferring knowledge within the team.
Requirements
- Completed degree with a banking-related focus (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering)
- Several years of professional experience in the banking or consulting environment, ideally in risk or bank controlling.
- Ability to analyze complex quantitative, technical and regulatory requirements in a structured way and translate them into practical solutions.
- High initiative, independent working style, resilience and an interest in quantitative analyses as well as regulatory and strategic banking issues.
- Professional demeanor with clients, strong team skills and very good German and English language skills.
- Solid knowledge of Excel/VBA, Access, SQL or comparable tools.
