About the role

  • Applications Database Administrator responsible for lifecycle management of enterprise databases at government agency. Requires expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server for performance and security.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full lifecycle management, maintenance, and sustainment of the Agency’s enterprise databases
  • Expert database administration for Oracle (19c or higher) and Microsoft SQL (2014 or higher)
  • Monitor, optimize, tune database performance, operations, and SQL code
  • Provide support during core business hours and on-call support for incidents
  • Manage the complete data lifecycle and administer all database objects
  • Plan and implement robust database security measures
  • Support application upgrades and maintain database tools
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards

Requirements

  • Government IT Contracting experience
  • At least five (5) years of current experience in database administration (Oracle and Microsoft SQL)
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Oracle 19c (or above) certification and MCSA: SQL Server Administrator certification
