Responsibilities
Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed architectural designs.
Create coordinated construction documents based on general knowledge of building materials and assemblies.
Adhere to specific and detailed instructions regarding tasks and complete work in a timely and thorough manner.
Communicate effectively with the design team, ask questions when needed, and consult with clients to determine project requirements and budgets.
Assist the Project Manager in construction site meetings to ensure adherence to design plans and modify design drawings based on client feedback or site conditions.
Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) to develop construction documents and stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture or a related field or a related field plus three (3) years of experience as an Architect, or a related occupation in an architectural design field.
Experience may be gained concurrently and must include: Three (3) years in each of the following:
Use of Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
Utilizing Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign
Utilizing architectural visualization software including Lumion
Creating and coordinating construction document sets
Producing 3-D drawings or plans in CAD or Revit
Designing projects, including technical detailing of materials and building systems, in limited resource environments.
Two (2) years in each of the following:
Working with architecture standards and building codes
Sustainable design applications.
One (1) year in the following:
Working within an architecture corporate environment.
Qualified applicants should be a Licensed Architect or working towards licensure through current/valid enrollment in Architectural Experience Program (AXP), and should be a Certified Professional in Revit.
