About the role

  • Monitor daily driver schedules and deliveries
  • Handle driver issues and questions related to compensation, attendance, and progressive discipline
  • Assist in driver hiring process by screening applications and conducting road tests
  • Perform capacity analysis to determine equipment needs
  • Maintain attendance records and alert management of policy violations
  • Document hours worked for accurate weekly compensation
  • Utilize applications to track route progress
  • Communicate with warehouse management regarding loading issues
  • Generate reports relevant to deliveries and equipment usage
  • Maintain current driver/equipment database

Requirements

  • Class A driver license preferred but not required
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Verifiable work history with references
  • Proficient with basic software applications (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
  • Must have basic knowledge of current DOT regulations
  • Prior experience as a Dispatcher is helpful but not required.
