About the role

  • Design and lay out magazine articles in line with brand guidelines and editorial direction.
  • Design monthly covers, incorporating coverlines provided by the editor.
  • Design additional publications and products such as freebies, journals, and booklets.
  • Plan and maintain the print and digital production schedule.
  • Liaise with suppliers for printed materials and special projects.
  • Liaise with printers and distributors for magazine production, ordering, and delivery logistics.
  • Supporting the wider business and following brand guidelines to create assets required.
  • Prepare and export designed articles for our numerous digital platforms.
  • Assist with the App uploads and updates.
  • Build and schedule newsletters using copy provided by the editorial team.
  • Source, create, and upload accompanying images.
  • Creating assets for Happiful’s social media and online advertising channels.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in editorial design and production, ideally in a publishing or media environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience in designing and producing print and digital media.
  • Understanding of email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience of following brand guidelines.
