About the role
- Junior QA Specialist performing quality inspections and managing quality assurance in food production at Melissa Kikizas S.A.
Responsibilities
- Conducts quality inspections on raw materials and finished products and communicates any non-conformities to suppliers.
- Manages stock release and quarantine procedures when required.
- Performs checks on returned products.
- Carries out laboratory-based, sampling quality controls on products manufactured at the Larissa plant to monitor quality consistency.
- Performs routine shelf-life testing of produced products.
- Conducts comparative analyses of product samples for benchmarking.
- Manages customer and consumer requests and complaints, including specifications, certificates, and required documentation.
- Communicates quality issues to relevant departments and supports corrective and preventive actions.
- Participates in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System in line with applicable standards.
- Supports quality improvement projects and oversees pest control activities at company facilities.
- Ensures proper operation, calibration, and organization of the quality control laboratory, sample archives, and quality documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Up to 2 years of experience in a Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance role
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language (verbal & written)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience in using laboratory equipment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Ability to handle complaints and negative feedback effectively
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
