About the role

  • Financial Analyst responsible for financial reporting and analysis in a major insurance brokerage firm. Collaborating with leadership for strategic financial decisions and budget management.

Responsibilities

  • Compile the company's monthly financial results by consolidating and analyzing revenues, costs and expenses for the period to determine the business's economic outcome (profit or loss) and ensure the reliability of management information.
  • Manage cost centers through the creation, maintenance and control of allocation structures to ensure correct appropriation of costs and revenues and support management analyses by area, project or business unit.
  • Prepare management reports and presentations of financial indicators by organizing, consolidating and performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of data to support decision-making by senior management and, when applicable, the Board.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and periodic review processes through critical analysis of assumptions, monitoring of variances and technical recommendations to contribute to the organization's financial planning and results control.
  • Provide technical support to leadership by addressing recurring requests and supplying financial data, analyses and information to ensure continuity of the area's decision-making and operational processes.
  • Analyze and periodically report variances between actual and budgeted results through structured presentations of revenues, costs and expenses to provide clear and objective visibility into financial results and significant deviations.
  • Act as a technical reference for the team by training and guiding members to ensure efficient use of applications and work tools, contributing to the maximization of results.
  • Perform other related professional activities inherent to the role as needed or required by the area, including training, professional development and guidance from the immediate supervisor to ensure continuous professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related fields.
  • Knowledge of controllership, financial and managerial accounting, financial statements, economic and financial indicators, internal controls, governance and compliance.
  • Experience integrating accounting, financial and operational data, and structuring and monitoring financial and accounting controls.
