Microsoft System Engineer responsible for administration of Microsoft systems and cloud services. Delivering insights and solutions for SHE's digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Planning, implementation and administration of traditional Microsoft systems (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange)
Deployment, operation and management of Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Entra)
Software distribution and packaging
Maintenance and support of VDI environments
Analysis and evaluation of performance and error logs
Execution of system upgrades and migrations
Support for end-user support as needed
Creation and maintenance of system documentation as well as operational and maintenance processes
Implementation and management of security measures to protect the IT infrastructure
Collaboration in Modern Workplace Management (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Baramundi)
Requirements
Completed vocational training or degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field
Several years of experience administering Microsoft systems
Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange; additional knowledge is an advantage
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style and a confident demeanor — also in demanding situations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ideally certified in operations management, preferably ITIL v4
Desirable Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate)
Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (e.g., Omnissa, Windows 365)
Knowledge in IT security, in particular system hardening according to CIS or BSI guidelines
