About the role

  • Microsoft System Engineer responsible for administration of Microsoft systems and cloud services. Delivering insights and solutions for SHE's digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementation and administration of traditional Microsoft systems (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange)
  • Deployment, operation and management of Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Entra)
  • Software distribution and packaging
  • Maintenance and support of VDI environments
  • Analysis and evaluation of performance and error logs
  • Execution of system upgrades and migrations
  • Support for end-user support as needed
  • Creation and maintenance of system documentation as well as operational and maintenance processes
  • Implementation and management of security measures to protect the IT infrastructure
  • Collaboration in Modern Workplace Management (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Baramundi)

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training or degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience administering Microsoft systems
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange; additional knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style and a confident demeanor — also in demanding situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ideally certified in operations management, preferably ITIL v4
  • Desirable Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate)
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (e.g., Omnissa, Windows 365)
  • Knowledge in IT security, in particular system hardening according to CIS or BSI guidelines
