About the role

• Linux IT-Systemadministrator overseeing the matelso SaaS infrastructure in Kaiserslautern. Ensuring system availability and performance while collaborating with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of the entire matelso infrastructure.
• Monitor SaaS systems using central management tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
• Administer and configure server systems on Linux.
• Basic knowledge of automation and orchestration of our processes on physical and virtual servers.
• Support tasks related to server operations and deployment, including trips to the data center.
• Independently carry out projects in the infrastructure and operations environment.
• Service-oriented and proactive collaboration with internal customers from development (DevOps).

Requirements

• Relevant completed degree or vocational training (e.g., IT specialist) with an appropriate focus on Linux IT administration.
• Initial professional experience in supporting system landscapes.
• Solid experience working with Linux servers and Kubernetes/container environments.
• Knowledge of network administration (routing & firewalls, VoIP, Cisco, MikroTik) is a plus.
• Very good German and English language skills are mandatory.
