About the role
- Regional Accountant managing financial operations for Champion Petfoods in APAC and LATAM regions. Ensuring financial reports accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure period, quarter and year-end activities are completed
- Conduct structured analysis/reconciliation to ensure the quality of accounts
- Review periodic, quarterly and annual financial accounts
- Ensure periodic reports are available in global Power BI
- Oversee implementation of the control framework
- Own the relationship with MGS Finance
- Ensure compliance with local, federal, and global regulations
- Lead the regional accounting for special projects
- Support the implementation of new systems or business models
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- CPA or other professional certification is an asset
- SAP (ATLAS) experience and knowledge management or equivalent ERP system
- High degree of attention to detail
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports for accuracy and reasonableness
- Experience with Financial Statement reporting obligations
- Self directed with strong accounting and finance background
- Digitally savvy with experience in business analysis, transformation, and process improvement
