About the role
- Quality Assurance Engineer at Maqsam focusing on QA processes and collaboration across teams. Design test cases, maintain automated suites, and ensure standards are met for product releases.
Responsibilities
- Own the QA process from staging through release, ensuring features meet product and customer expectations.
- Participate early in squad discussions to understand requirements and define testing plans.
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for new features, bug fixes, and regression testing.
- Build and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to clarify requirements and identify edge cases.
- Track, document, and communicate defects clearly and follow up to resolution.
- Advocate for quality across the product lifecycle and help define “done” for releases.
- Continuously improve QA tools, frameworks, and processes as the team and product grow.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, or similar role in a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with both manual testing and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across squads.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- A proactive mindset: not just finding bugs, but also suggesting improvements.
