About the role

  • Investment Analyst supporting senior analysts with fixed income portfolio administration. Involves writing reviews, modeling financial results, and independent investment management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ICED-T Team’s most senior analysts in the administration of fixed income portfolios
  • Write annual reviews of portfolio investments
  • Model financial results
  • Review company publications and third-party research
  • Meet with management teams and sell side professionals
  • Independently administer investment portfolios
  • Make investment recommendations
  • Identify and analyze investment risks
  • Develop frameworks for credit ratings
  • Prepare written investment reviews
  • Communicate investment risks across teams
  • Contribute to new investment opportunities
  • Participate in due diligence processes
  • Attend and represent MFC/JH at conferences and meetings

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Well developed quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal presentation skills
  • Competency in office software
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Pursuing or planning to pursue the CFA designation or an MBA
