Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Global Capital Formation legal function supporting all aspects of private fund formation
- Oversee the structuring, launch, and administration of global funds
- Draft, negotiate, and supervise preparation of core private fund documents
- Engage directly with senior leadership and investment teams
- Provide strategic legal guidance on development of new global private markets products
- Advise on regulatory matters and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with investment, finance, compliance, tax, operations, and investor relations teams
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with strong academic background
- 10+ years of experience with a focus on private fund formation at an asset manager or leading law firm
- Demonstrated ability to lead and team as well as cross-functional initiatives, with effective communication with senior stakeholders
- Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
