About the role

  • Community Engagement Manager responsible for implementing sustainability strategies and supporting community programmes at Manchester Airport under MAG. Collaborating with stakeholders and representing the airport at community events.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver relevant aspects of the Group Sustainability Strategy at an airport level
  • Develop and inform airport community programmes
  • Work with external stakeholders to deliver community support projects
  • Deliver implementation of community mitigation schemes
  • Support formal engagement with key community stakeholders through forums and consultative committees
  • Represent the airport at community events in the towns and villages close to the airport

Requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to speak confidently in public and produce high-quality written communication materials
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage and work to deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders
  • Highly developed listening skills
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and deal with conflict sensitively and confidently
  • Flexibility to sometimes attend events on evenings and weekends
