About the role
- Group Financial Reporting Accountant preparing Group's financial statements under IFRS and FRS 102 for MAG. Providing technical expertise and supporting finance training within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Group’s interim and full year consolidated financial statements under IFRS
- Prepare individual company financial statements under FRS 102 to a high standard
- Provide technical accounting and financial reporting expertise to MAG colleagues
- Support the provision of relevant technical training and development to MAG’s finance community
- Assist in managing the year-end and half-year processes, including the external audit process
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
- Post qualification experience in a busy finance team
- Strong technical accounting skills in IFRS or the new UK GAAP (FRS 102)
- Examples of delivering projects to tight timeframes
- Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of SAP systems is desirable
- Accounting knowledge in non-current assets (IAS 16, IAS 38, IFRS 16) is desirable
