About the role

  • FP&A Senior Analyst role at Sonepar analyzing financial performance and providing insights for decision-making. Joining a diverse team to support acquisitions and drive value creation in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term plans for your scope.
  • Analyze actual vs. forecast results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare management dashboards.
  • Deliver reporting and contribute to the preparation of documents for Group management committees.
  • Act as a preferred contact point between local financial teams, business units, and the Group’s financial department.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and senior management to provide financial insights and challenge assumptions.
  • Support non-financial stakeholders (e.g., data and transformation, supply chain, sustainability) with financial analysis and decision support.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with Group functions, including the setup of new reporting tools, design of new metrics, and automation of recurring processes.
  • Contribute to the modernization of financial processes and tools, including the introduction of professional AI solutions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; engineering background appreciated.
  • 7–10 years’ experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or audit, ideally in an international environment.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills; experience in M&A analysis is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI or others) and EPM systems (OneStream, Tagetik, or others).
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Rigorous, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders.
  • Energetic, supportive, and enthusiastic team player who proactively shares ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal and teaching skills, especially in remote and cross-functional contexts.
  • Ability to act with a Group perspective (define/instruct/explain/coordinate/iterate).
