About the role

  • Junior Advocate focusing on gas natural projects and regulatory compliance at a leading law firm. Engaging in project finance, M&A operations and complex contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects and transactions involving natural gas, biomethane and other regulated sectors.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts (IA, SHA, JDA).
  • Support for M&A transactions, project finance and conducting regulatory and contractual due diligence.
  • Regulatory analysis and monitoring before the ANP, environmental agencies and other sectoral authorities.
  • Preparation of memoranda, legal opinions and advisory notes on regulatory, contractual and infrastructure matters.
  • Interface with stakeholders across the gas value chain, including maritime, port and integrated logistics sectors.
  • Support clients in strategic decisions, risk mitigation and structuring infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Law degree, 3–6 years post-graduation.
  • Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Advanced/Fluent English.
  • Previous experience in regulated sectors and/or the energy sector.
  • Advantage: prior experience in natural gas or biomethane.
