About the role
- Data Scientist analyzing data to create prediction models for solving financial challenges. Working in a hybrid environment in Berlin or Amsterdam with a focus on data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end process of data-driven knowledge gathering (connect, mine, simulate, predict, illustrate, and deploy)
- Create data-based solutions to address complex business challenges
- Translate business needs into hypotheses, leading to advanced analytical projects, and conduct ad hoc analyses to address specific business questions
- Design, train, deploy and monitor predictive algorithms
- Development of data-driven business case models
- Develop and run simulation-based scenarios to quantify revenue and business impact under different assumptions
- Proactively communicate and share your conclusions, as well as explain complex topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Solid analytical skills in structured and unstructured data (you're a natural problem solver)
- Someone who is available for 4-6 months
- Proficiency in Python and SQL (you can write advanced queries with ease)
- A self-driven and proactive attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (you can explain complex ideas in simple terms)
- Focus on quality (you strive for excellence in everything you do)
- Knowledge of financial markets & financial products (options, futures, etc.)
- Experience with pricing or revenue simulations is a strong advantage
