About the role

  • Cloud & M365 System Consultant role focused on client solutions in Microsoft services, enhancing operational efficiency. Support for Exchange, Cloud Platform, Office 365, and Managed IT Services clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of Microsoft 365 admin centers, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and other M365 services, ensuring smooth operation, user management, and service optimization
  • Create and pilot Intune application configuration and/or protection policies
  • Distribution of pre-packaged applications from the Apple Store or Google Play store to mobile devices, and distribution of Windows 10/11 applications that have already been packaged via Intune
  • Troubleshoot widespread device enrollment issues identified by Tier 1 or Tier 2 affecting multiple devices.
  • Implement automation tools and scripts for streamlined cloud operations and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and procedures
  • Work with 3rd party integrators, external consultants or vendors to implement new technologies, adjust current deployments and apply best practices
  • Act as the go-to technical resource assisting multiple clients with Microsoft Messaging technologies & Cloud platform support for Azure, AWS, & GCP
  • Troubleshoot issues with Entra ID Subscriptions, AD, Teams/Teams for Business online, Microsoft Teams and other Messaging related infrastructure
  • Work with a dynamic team of M365 & Cloud support specialists
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve efficiencies with the technologies we support
  • Assist with other technical infrastructure support activities as required

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Messaging Specialist in a Microsoft environment, supporting versions of Exchange from 2010 – 2019 and Teams
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting and maintaining Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Microsoft 365 services including Teams
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Voice and voice integration with on-premises Teams
  • Strong background in infrastructure support including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, AD Connect and DNS
  • 2+ years’ experience managing Microsoft 365 using PowerShell
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance center, Cloud App Security and Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Intune
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining microservice deployed platforms
  • Strong understanding of HTTP protocol, RESTful API's, SDK's, SaaS models
  • Experience working with relational databases on different technology platforms like Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience working with and managing code repositories
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub, GitLab, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, SQL, Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, Docker, and cloud-native technologies
  • Solid experience in coding
  • Experience working with container technologies such as Kubernetes is considered an asset
  • Experience in working with Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of multi-factor authentication
  • Knowledge of multiple mail gateways & mail filtering tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
