About the role
- Préposé(e) aux bénéficiaires providing care to residents in a warm environment at LOKIA. Supporting elderly in daily hygiene, meals, and activities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to residents in accordance with the LOKIA care guide, including: Ensure morning and evening personal hygiene care
- Serve meals and provide necessary assistance with feeding
- Assist residents with mobility within the residence
- Maintain adequate and constant supervision of residents
- Immediately inform the nurse of any change in behavior or any abnormal reaction observed in a resident
- Actively participate in recreational and leisure activities organized for residents
- Perform certain housekeeping tasks, including washing clothing and bedding
- Contribute to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, safety and infection prevention
- Strictly follow the procedures and protocols established by the LOKIA group
- Administer medication only if the person holds the Loi 90 diploma and has the required authorization to administer medication
- Perform any other tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- DEP or AEP in Assistance to the Person in Institutional and Home Care
- RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) or RAC exemption letter AP-RPA (issued by a CFP - public vocational training centre)
- PDSP (formerly PDSB)
- CPR (minimum 16-hour training), up to date
- 0 to 2 years in a similar role
